9:51 pm - Random Thoughts
|
What is wrong in this city? So many things happening that just shouldn't be happening. Maybe we all have just spent too much time locked up here...
Maeglin... so it seems he's not going to be punished for poisoning Tuor. All because some people seem to believe that Eol should be punished instead, because it's all his doing. *rolls eyes* Yeah, sure. Because Maeglin needs help to do evil things... Really, it seems ghosts are totally in fashion these days... either to take blame for all the evil things we do or just to be there for us so people shall not think we're all alone and talking to ourselves all the time. (I do that a lot, though, and never felt uncomfortable with it.) Maeglin can't take care of a kid either, by the way, as that little girl he's taken in was seen running around town in the middle of the night, trying to talk to ghosts obviously.Doesn't he feel responsible for the people of his house? Or did he send her because he himself was too scared? *shrugs* Whatever... it's probably a good thing that he will never have own kids.
Mardil... so he was supposed to have a duel with Tindariel but chickened out obviously. Understandably so. Whatever the outcome, it would have been the wrong one for him. Had he defeated Tindariel he might have gotten on Argon's bad side, and in case of his own defeat he would have become the laughing stock of the whole city. Defeated by a woman... It is said that he's suffering from some illness. An excuse or the wrath of the Valar for his naughty behavior? Maybe he would have done better to listen to himself than falling victim to a woman... even when the woman surely had some very convincing, naked arguments...
Turgon... has he really escaped from his 'safekeeping' or did his brother simply kill him and bury him somewhere? Nobody seems to have heard of him ever since he disappeared, so it's a possibility. One I'd never say out loud, though. I love my life!
I really envy my friends far away from this mess. They must have an easy life now, away from manipulating bitches and politcs going wrong all the time. I'll just do the next best thing, stay in bed all day and wait for Duilin finish working and making me happy!

11:49 pm - :D
|
If all of Mardil’s matches go like the first one then this is going to be a great tournament. Although it would be even more fun without that stupid mole judge. I mean they could at least have tried to find impartial judges, right? However, everybody knows that he has become even more arrogant since the king in his never-ending stupidity made him a lord of... whatever... nodody I talked to really knew. I really hope he’s not going to spoil all the events for us. I’d like my sister to see a nice first Trial of Arms.
I doubt I’m going to tell her about our unofficial stripping contest, though. I wonder why nobody has made it official yet as it is always lots of fun... or rather was when Fal and Hel were still here. But of course it also means that I don’t have as much competition this year. And we don’t have any stupid judges either. :D

I always used to spend a lot of time with Hel and Fal, and I really miss them now that they have left, but I'm still looking forward to this silly tournament. I'm sure Duilin and I will have lots of fun together too, although it'll surely be different. He's such a wonderful lover and I really don't know why so many people say mean things about him. Obviously because they don't know him. But that's fine with me, because I'm rather glad that they don't. They are not really worth a second thought anyways.

I still wonder what took them so long to decide Duilin's innocent as there was really no evidence at all against him... unless you count the obviously fabricated one.
However, I'm definitely happy now. And I think we need to celebrate this as soon as we get back to his bedroom...

Can this tribunal take any longer to make a decision? How much longer are they going to make us wait?
I really don't wanna guess how they are going to decide, but I'd like hear their decision sometime soon. Keeping us waiting for so long is just mean!

3:13 am - Stupid Royalty
|
So Gondolin has a new regent now, but to be honest I like him no better than I liked Turgon. For now he's giving audiences to whoever has some kind of complaint, but I wonder if he's going to do anything about those complaints other than listening to them... Also I'm wondering how he can put Duilin on trial for some stupid accusation and without any real evidence. After all nobody in the House of the Mole knows anything about an investigation, and wouldn't Mardil have to search there for evidence if that's the supposed crime scene? Guess he just fabricated some evidence to impress his new girlfriend... But why would Argon care about such things when he can gain reputation and at the same time get rid of one of the lords?
I hope that my friends, now already far away from Gondolin I suppose, are okay, and that they eventually reach their destination. I miss them horribly, but I'm sure they can only have a better life without all these troubles. What are a few orcs compared to crazy royals, after all? Too bad I can't share all the newest gossip with them anymore, because I heard a very interesting rumor today. The princess has been seen sneaking into the House of the Mole last night... alone. Really, I'd have thought Maeglin would go after her now that Turgon's out of the way, but it seems that I was wrong. I wonder if her fiancé knows about her secret visits to her cousin...
In other news, Galion wants to take light-prints of me and some friends to advertise his wares. Besides bringing me some money, I think that's a wonderful way to piss off Mardil who will just hate to see those pictures of us.

I wish there was at least someone in the king's guard who's not an idiot or incapable, but as it is people like Mardil will just get away with everything....

...getting myself arrested. Or so it seems. What a great city where idiots like Mardil are allowed to just arrest anyone who dare to have a different opinion on matters...
And to make things better and better, Mardil turns out to be corrupt!!!

11:29 am - Rumors
|
This must be a dream coming true for Aranwe: he's finally getting a duel. The most interesting thing about the upcoming duel to me is the why. I've heard the wildest rumors, and I'd love to know which one is true. One says that Legolas is having an affair with Maiwen, and so Aranwe has challenged him. A somewhat strange idea, but someone as young as Legolas is certainly even proud to be chosen by an experienced woman, no matter how bitchy and cunning she might be. (No doubt that Maiwen must be most delighted to have two men fighting over her...no matter that one of them is undoubtedly going to get hurt!) But there is an even stranger rumor evolving from it: That Maiwen has convinced Legolas to challenge Aranwe because of Aranwe's affair with Maeglin (this for one, is a rumor nobody doubts!). Poor Legolas, if this rumor is true and he let's Maiwen abuse him like this! Yet another rumor says that Aranwe has molested Legolas' little girlfriend, but I don't see the point in a duel then since nobody really thinks Legolas has a chance against Aranwe. Unless of course, Legolas just wants to show off how brave he is, and then have Angelleth nurse him back to health. I guess that's a pretty painful way to impress a girl, but it's a way nonetheless.
I wonder what Maeglin thinks about this duel, but I'm sure he's too busy poisoning us all with his smoke thing to care!!

3:29 am - Party Time
|
A party for Heledir, and it’s nothing less than his wedding party. :D We’ll make sure that it’ll be the best party ever, because Hel really deserves it… and so do I after that boring time in prison. I only wonder where to hold the party. I’d say in Hel’s house, but knowing him, it’d probably take quite a while to clean up all the paper he keeps throwing everywhere when writing a book… so maybe better at my place? I’ll have to talk to Fal as soon as possible. I’m sure he’ll gladly help with everything.
I wonder what the king’s newest council is about… And why on earth does Turgon hold his councils so early in the morning? The Lords must either still be half-asleep or grumpy at that early hour, so is it any surprise that they’re unproductive and only seem to argue?? However, I can only hope the king has no more house-swapping in mind. One stay in prison is quite enough for the rest of my life, and you never know what’s on his mind this time… Maybe something as stupid as sending Maiwen to work in the orphanage or all the kids to Anghabar.
Well, I guess I’ll find out soon enough. After all someone has to make sure that Duilin gets sex cheered up after the stupid council.. and maybe telling him of Hel’s party will help too. Surely he wouldn’t want to miss that.

They all get to celebrate this stupid wedding while I have to stay in here!! I'm sure Daeron is allowed to go if he wants to. *pouts* How unfair!!
And how boring it is in here! Will they not finally let me out? It seems like I've been spending centuries in here!

9:55 pm - In prison
|
I don't really mind being confined for what I believe in, but it is so boooooring in here! And cold too. Don't they get any coal to keep it a little warm? But certainly there is none of the precious coal to be spared for the 'criminals' of this city. And somehow I doubt I'll be allowed to go and attend an opera until the king decides to let me out again.
*sigh* It's cold, boring and I'm feeling lonely too. And I keep wondering if that is it, or if the king has something else in store for me after I get out. You never know with that madman that is our leader...

11:34 pm - Everything's just wrong!!
|
So now I'm the evil one...because I chose to leave the House of the Fountain. Lead by a lord I no longer trust. But what did he do for the people of Gondolin? Did he react after Heledir talked to him? Did he do anything to improve the situation? I don't think so... Maeglin gave a party in his honour, which he wouldn't have if Ecthelion had really talked with him about the coal issue.
I really regret dragging Duilin into all this. All he did was being there for me when I needed him, but since he's already at war with the House of the Mole, people are most happy to blame him for this as well.
Lords...I guess they just can't help but putting the blame on others. Except for Duilin who admitted his fault in all this.
What are we common people still to believe in in times like this when neither our lords nor our king protect us??

9:47 am - Everybody's crazy!!!
|
I can't believe what that mole has been saying! I might have been sleeping around a lot, at least before I'd gotten together with Arassuil and now Duilin, but nobody could ever say I have bad taste! I certainly would still suffer from nightmares if I'd ever had sex with that....mole.
He seems quite convinced of what he's saying though... :/ He must be suffering from some kind of mental illness. Arassuil once told me about it. People are completely unaware that they are lying, because in their minds their fantasies, good or bad, are not fantasies, but things that in fact happened. He said those people turn out quite dangerous sometimes. I hope Duilin is cautious...
I think I know now what the King's planning though. He's trying to get his whole city in a state of discord over his stupid list. I'm sure he'd even like to see people kill each other! And his list is very considerate indeed, if you know his final plan!
This means the King has gone completely nuts!
Just because I can't leave and give my loyalty to another king, doesn't mean I have to listen to a madman's orders though, does it? I think not! I no longer have a king!

9:07 pm - Bleh! Snow!
|
How I hate snow. I may look pretty when you're looking out the window from a warm and cozy house, but the pretty looks are deceiving. It's horribly cold, and you have to wear more clothes to keep at least somewhat warm...not to mention that it always reminds me of the horrible time on the Helcaraxe...A time I'd rather forget than be reminded of.
It would be easier if I had someone to help me to keep warm, but Arassuil is busier than ever, dealing with all the traumatized people after the recent battle, and therefore tired and exhausted at the end of each day. :( And all my favorite fountain boys are taken, and have others to cuddle and have sex with.
Maybe I should make myself comfortable on the couch and just never go out again until spring.

Now that we no longer have to fear cat-demons, even I have finally dared to leave the orphanage again. Luckily I didn't miss much of the gossip as so many people came to the orphanage all the time. :)
The newest rumor is that Aranwe challenged Duilin to a duel, but was found an unworthy opponent. Quite understandable since I don't think Lords should have to answer to people beneath their status. (A lord having an affair with a commoner would be an entirely different thing, of course.) And what would justify that duel anyway? Just because Lord Duilin allowed his archers to scare the moles a little? After all it wasn't his fault that this Corch was pissed at Aranwe and his bitch wife, and tried to kill her. Though some say it wasn't even intended... :/
*sigh* Living in this city is no fun anymore. Before Maeglin came here, it was a peaceful place, but those moles of his cause nothing but trouble. They really should know better than provoke even more fighting when all others are still mourning for the ones they lost in the recent battle.

7:57 pm - Hiding
|
What is happening to this City? I never really appreciated the King as long as he was there, but I do now. Without him the whole city is complete chaos: the guards are out of control, harrassing anyone they want to for absolutely no reasons; the moles are no better and all the good people do best if they are hiding, because otherwise anything can happen to them if they are only walking along the street. Nobody is safe anymore, Regent Idril is incapable to keep any order, and Maeglin is happy to be free to finally treat everyone like shit, and let his moles do whatever they want without being punished for anything. And I have more reason than anyone to hide, since I went to Captain Halatir to tell him about Pengolodh, Aranwe and Daeron. That was stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I'm really scared of what they would do to me if they found me. Best to keep hiding and avoid both guards and moles. I've heard what they did to other fountain boys just because nobody's there to keep them in check. If only I could somehow escape from the city, but those moles really have thought of everything to keep all the people here.... I can only hope for the King to recover soon... or a miracle...
